Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana-Part 1 is set for a worldwide theatrical release during Diwali 2026. Ranbir Kapoor and Sreeleela will appear as Lord Rama and Goddess Sita. The film has been shot entirely for IMAX.

The film is now in the news due to an interesting buzz. Reports circulating on social media claim that Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi is playing Vibhishana, the younger brother of Ravana. However, there is no official confirmation yet, and the rumour is that he has joined the sets.

The title announcement glimpse created strong buzz online, and expectations are quite high for this epic. Yash, Sunny Deol, Vivek Oberoi, and others are playing prominent roles.

The screenplay is written by Shridhar Raghavan, and the film is produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with the eight-time Oscar-winning VFX company DNEG. Yash’s Monster Mind Creations is co-producing the film, adding to its scale. AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer are composing the music.
