Touch of realism
“Gandhi Kannadi”
– Review
Gandhi Kannadi is a touching and emotional movie directed by Sherief. The story is about an old couple who don’t have kids.
They really want to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary, which is usually a party their kids would throw.
A young event planner, played by KPY Bala, tries to help them make it happen. The movie is set during the time when the Indian government suddenly changed the country’s money, which causes some problems for the couple’s plans.
It’s a simple story that shows us what real love and dreams look like. The script is great because the conversations feel real, and the flashbacks help you understand the couple’s past.
The movie feels sincere and honest. The ending is a little surprising and might feel a bit different from the rest of the film.
Balaji Sakthivel and Archana, who play the old couple, are amazing. They show so much emotion with just their expressions and body language.
KPY Bala, who is known for comedy, does a good job in his first main acting role. He shows that he can do more than just make people laugh. The other actors in the movie including Nikhila Sankar, Jeeva Subramanian and Namita Krishnamurthy also do a solid job supporting the main cast.
All the technical parts of the movie work together to make the story feel real and easy to connect with.
The movie looks and feels very natural. The camera work by Balaji K Raja is simple and clean, focusing on the people and their feelings. The music by Vivek – Mervin is pleasant and fits the mood of the film.
