What is GCET 2023​


The GCET 2023 is the common entrance test and this exam is a gateway for admissions to various undergraduate courses in engineering, pharmacy, and other fields offered by various colleges in Goa.

Candidates can choose from three subject combinations – PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics), PC (Physics and Chemistry), and PM (Physics and Maths), according to their preferred discipline.

GCET Registration Details

All students who wish to take admission in Professional Degree courses in MBBS, BDS, BHMS (Homeopathy), BAMS (Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences (Paramedical), and B.Sc. in Nursing courses in the State of Goa in academic year 2023-24 are required to appear and qualify in NEET UG (National Entrance cum Eligibility Test).

Students who wish to take admission in B.Arch. courses will have to appear for NATA exam. GCET prospectus 2023 and detailed information will be released on the official website: . The GCET exam will be conducted for three papers. Exam duration for each paper will be 2 hours.

The examination for Physics paper will be conducted from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and the examination for Chemistry paper will be conducted the same day from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The examination for Mathematics paper will be conducted from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

GCET 2023 Exam Time Table: The GCET candidates will appear for three separate papers Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM). Physics and Chemistry papers will be on June 15. Maths paper will be on June 16. Physics paper will be from 10 am to 12 pm, Chemistry paper will be from 2 pm to 6 pm and the Maths paper will be from 10 am to 12 pm.

GCET 2023 Exam Centers: The entrance exam will be conducted at 15 exam centres across Goa in Tiswadi Cujira(Bambolim) , Panaji , Verna, Navelim, Vasco, Mapusa , Ponda, Ponda(Farmagudi) , Bicholim, Curchorem, Porvorim, Assagao, Sanquelim , Cuncolim and Dharbandora.

GCET will be conducted for admissions to undergraduate admissions into engineering and pharmacy courses in Goa. The exam will be based on the Class 12 syllabus of Goa Board for Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Students aspiring for admission only to BPharm course need not answer Mathematics subject at GCET 2023.

Goa Professional Degree Admission 2023​


(A) Through NEET UG 2023: All students seeking admissions to MBBS, BDS, BHMS(Homeopathy), BAMS(Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences (Paramedical), B.Sc. in Nursing & B.V.Sc. &A.H. courses in the State of Goa in academic year 2023-23 are required to appear and qualify at NEET UG 2023(National Entrance cum Eligibility Test).

(B) Admissions to B.E., B.Pharm. courses in the State of Goa for the academic year 2023-23 shall be carried out on basis of Goa CET 2023 (Goa Common Entrance Test), which shall be conducted in various Centres, across Goa State, in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Maths, based on Std. XII syllabus of Goa Board. Students aspiring for admission only to B.Pharm course need not answer Mathematics subject at Goa CET 2023.

(C) Admissions to B.Arch. course shall be on the basis of scores obtained at NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture), conducted by Council of Architecture, and qualifying exam(Std. XII /HSSC/Diploma.) For information regarding NATA, refer website of NATA and Council of Architecture.

Selection procedure: The candidates who pass the test will go through a counselling process. The candidates will receive a rank on the basis of their score in the exam. On the basis of the rank, the candidates will be allotted institutions in the counselling session.

Goa CET Exam pattern 2023​


The GCET exam has four papers which carry 75 marks each. All papers contain 75 questions each. No negative marking is given in this exam. Each paper will be of two hours duration.

The GCET is a computer based examination. All the candidates will be tested on the following subjects:

  • Physics: Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Optics, Electromagnetic Waves, Electronic Devices, Communication Systems, Atoms and Nuclei etc.
  • Chemistry: Solid State, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Coordination Compounds, Aldehydes, Ketones And Carboxylic Acids, Bio-molecules etc.
  • Biology: Reproduction, Genetics And Evolution, Iii Biology And Human Welfare, Iv Biotechnology And Its Applications and among others.
  • Mathematics: Algebra, Calculus, Linear Programming, Probability etc.
  • Admission into MBBS, BDS and Degree in Architecture courses will be through NEET and NATA.

Steps to download GCET admit card 2023​


The Goa Common Entrance Test, GCET will be conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). All the candidates who applied for the exam had been waiting for their admit cards which have been released by the DTE.

The entrance test is conducted for acquiring admissions into the institutions in Goa that offer UG courses in the Medical, Engineering, Architecture, Technology and Homeopathy field.
