Kishkindhapuri Movie Review & Rating!

Kishkindhapuri, a horror mystery thriller starring Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran, raised good expectations with its trailer. But did it deliver and give Bellamkonda a much-needed hit?

Kishkindhapuri Movie Story: In 1989, employees of the Suvarnamaya radio station died mysteriously, and the station was shut down. Years later, Raghava (Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas) and Mythili (Anupama Parameswaran) run ghost tours around Kishkindhapuri village, taking people to haunted spots. One day, they reach the abandoned Suvarnamaya station. What follows, the eerie incidents they encounter, the secrets behind the tragedy, and how Raghava faces them form the core of Kishkindhapuri.

Performances: The movie features a surprise actor whose performance is the main highlight, and his identity will be revealed soon. Bellamkonda delivers dialogues clearly, but his tone isn’t strong enough to create fear, though he has improved as an actor.

Anupama’s role is simple and she plays it well. Prema shines in a good role after a long time, Tanikella Bharani is impressive, Hyper Aadi’s comedy works initially, and others fit their parts.

Technical Aspects: Director Koushik’s scenes, like the train engine sequence and Tanikella Bharani’s twist, worked well, though too much was told in dialogues and the open ending felt weak. His scene setups are good but not neatly arranged. Chaitan Bharadwaj’s background score is the film’s strength. CGI, especially monkey and ghost scenes, was poor, while editing, production, and art work were decent.

Analysis: Kishkindhapuri engages with twists and horror elements, though the closure could have been better. It’s a moderately entertaining watch if you go without high expectations.

Verdict: Kishkindhapuri blends horror and mystery with a few gripping twists. While it doesn’t fully deliver a satisfying end, it manages to keep viewers engaged. Not groundbreaking, but a fair pick if you enjoy spooky thrillers with moderate entertainment.

Bottom Line: Engaging horror thriller, weak closing impact.

Rating: 2.5/5
