NVS Exam date 2023 or Navodaya Exam Date 2023 has been announced by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti for JNVs Class 6 admissions. Fresh exam date notification has been released on its website regarding conduct of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test.

As per the latest news of JNVST, the Navodaya Exam date for appearing the entrance exam for admission of students to Class VI for the session 2023-2024 would be held on 29-04-2023 in all states and UTs.

Candidates can download the admit card 15 days before the commencement of the date of the exam. Students can get more details on the official website of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, navodaya.gov.in.

The JNVST for Class 6 is usually conducted in the month of April. The Navodaya exam date of the JNVST is usually announced by the NVS in the month of November/December.

JNV Exam Date 2023​


JNV Exam Date 2023 is April 29, 2023. The JNVST is a highly competitive exam, and the students who clear the exam will get the opportunity to study in one of the best schools in the country.

The written test consists of multiple-choice questions and the interview is conducted to test the student’s overall personality. To prepare for the JNVST exam, students should focus on their studies and practice as many sample papers and previous year question papers as possible.

NVS Exam Date 2023 for Class 6​


NVS Exam Date 2023 for Class 6 is 29-01-2023. Navodaya Entrance Exam Class VI Registration has been completed by NVS (Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti) for Admission in to 6th Class in Navodaya Vidyalayas for the academic year.

The admit card will be available to candidates on the official site. The result will be announced in August 3rd week. As per the official notice, a maximum of eighty students is admitted in Class VI in each Vidyalaya through a Selection Test subject to the availability of suitable candidates. Navodaya Entrance Exam​


NVS Exam Pattern: The total marks of the NVS exam will be 100. The time duration for the NVS exam is 2 hours. Fifteen minutes of additional time will be given to read the instructions.

The question paper will be divided into three sections, Mental Ability Test carrying 50 marks, Arithmetic Test carrying 25 marks and Language Test carrying 25 marks. Each question will carry equal mark, and there will be no negative marking.

The NVS exam question paper will be multiple choice types, and four options will be given. Students are advised to go through the NVS exam pattern specified in the question booklet and prepare accordingly. It is advised to go through the official website of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti for more updates on NVS Class 6 Exam Date.

Only blue or black pen is to be used to write on the OMR answer sheet. Candidates should bring their own ballpoint pen. Use of pencil is strictly prohibited. The NVS Class 6 Exam will be of two hour duration.

Exam Pattern of Navodaya Entrance Exam: The selection test will be of two-hour duration from 11:30 am to 01:30 pm and will have 3 sections with only objective type questions. There are 80 questions in all for 100 marks. 15 Minutes additional time is allowed for reading the instructions. Hence, the candidates have to report latest by 11:00 AM on the exam day.

JNVST Exam details​

  • The Navodaya Entrance exam for admission in class 6 will be held as per the scheduled date.
  • The registration process for the entrance examination was completed on 31-01-2023.
  • The admit cards for the entrance examination would be released on the official website.
  • The exam is held for admission into various Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs).

The languages in which the exam will be conducted included – English, Garo, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Punjabi, Sindhi (Arabic), Tamil, Telugu, Nepali, Oriya, Marathi, Assamese, Bodo, Gujarati, Kannada, Khasi, Malayalam, Manipuri, Mizo, Sindhi (Devnagari).

Free Education: Admission to 80 students in class VI in each school is given by JNVST. Free education up to Class XII Hostel facility, dining facilities, books, stationery, uniforms are provided.

A student is eligible to appear for the examination for one year only. 75 per cent seats are allotted to rural students. For this, 3rd to 5th class should be educated in rural schools. Those educated in urban schools can compete for 25 percent of the seats. 1/3 of the seats are reserved for girls.

The arrangement will be made to download the admit cards by the candidates from the website of NVS. Candidates may contact Principal of JNV concerned and collect Admit Cards, in case of difficulty.

General Instructions for Candidates:​

  • No candidate will be allowed to the test without the admit card under any circumstances.
  • Check the particulars in the Admit Card carefully.
  • Error, if any, must be immediately reported to the Principal of JNV concerned by email to jnvmwarangal@gmail.com.
  • No electronic devices/gadgets except ordinary wristwatch are allowed in the examination hall.
  • Do not carry any article, except Admit Card and Black /Blue Ball Pen in the examination hall.
  • A candidate is required to report to the examination centre latest by 10:30 am.
  • The candidate will not be permitted to appear for the test if reports late.
  • The total duration of the examination is 2 hours. (11:30 am to 01:30 pm).
  • However, in respect of candidates with special needs (Divyang), additional time of 30 minutes will be provided.

Before answering, the candidate has to ensure that the question booklet contains 80 questions serially numbered from 1 to 80. In case of discrepancy, the candidate should immediately report the matter to the invigilator for replacement of the question paper.

Use Blue/Black Ballpoint Pen only to write on OMR sheet. Use of Pencil is Strictly Prohibited. Each question is followed by four alternative answers, marked A, B, C & D. Candidate is required to select the one, that answers the question correctly and darkens that circle on OMR answer sheet.

The Question paper of the same medium of examination as mentioned in the admit card may be collected band used. No change of medium of question paper is permitted. Candidate must attempt all questions of each section one has to qualify in each section separately. Candidate must fill Roll Number on OMR sheet as well as question paper.

No change in the answer once marked is allowed. Overwriting, cutting and erasing on the answer sheet is NOT allowed. Use of White/correction fluid/eraser on the OMR sheet is not allowed. Do NOT make any stray mark on the OMR sheet. The candidate shall not leave the hall before 13.30 Hrs and without handing over the answer sheet and admit card to the invigilator.

Any candidate found either giving or receiving assistance or using unfair means during the exam will be disqualified. Any attempt for impersonation will also disqualify the candidature.

Selection of candidate for admission in JNV concerned is as per prescribed NVS criteria.
