Netflix has begun streaming the blockbuster Tamil film ‘Dude’, starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju, from November 14, marking a major digital milestone for the youthful entertainer.
The movie, directed by Keerthiswaran, became one of Kollywood’s biggest surprise hits of the year, grossing over Rs.100 crore despite modest pre-release expectations.
Its success followed Pradeep Ranganathan’s strong momentum after ‘Love Today’, which turned him into a bankable actor-filmmaker among younger audiences.
‘Dude’ builds on that trend, combining campus humour, light-hearted action, and a fast-paced narrative around Agan, who lands in trouble while helping his cousin’s love story.
With its OTT launch in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, Netflix is positioning the film for multi-language reach, especially as South Indian comedies continue finding strong traction on streaming platforms.
