Startup promotion platform WaveX has announced the launch of seven incubation centres across the country to support the media, animation and entertainment sector . The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said that these centres will be set up at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication – IIMC in Delhi , Jammu , Dhenkanal in Odisha , Kottayam in Kerala and Amravati in Maharashtra and the Indian Film Institute in Pune. and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune and the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute of Kolkata . The ministry stated that the launch of these incubation mechanisms will provide startups with access to advanced facilities for filmmaking, game development, and editing. These new centers will offer infrastructure and early-stage facilities similar to those at the Indian Institute of Creative Technology in Mumbai. Startups working under WaveX will get the opportunity to work with media units of Doordarshan, All India Radio, Film and Television Institute of India, Press Information Bureau, Publications Division and Electronic Media Monitoring Centre.

4 Cabinet approves Rs 2,277 crore CSIR scheme to promote science and research
The Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi , on Wednesday approved the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) ‘s new scheme, ” Capacity Building and Human Resource Development .” The scheme will cost a total of ₹2,277.397 crore for the period 2021-22 to 2025-26. . This amount has been approved under the Fifteenth Finance Commission. The scheme will be implemented by CSIR and will involve research and development institutes, national laboratories, institutes of national importance, institutes of excellence, and universities across the country. Its primary objective is to provide a strong platform for young researchers to pursue careers in academia, industry, and national R&D laboratories. This initiative will open up new opportunities in the fields of science, technology, engineering, medicine, and mathematics (STEMM). Under this scheme, researchers will receive guidance from eminent scientists and professors.
