The registration process began yesterday I.e, February 2, 2021, and the last date to register for the exam is March 2, 2021, and the examination fee is March 3, 2021. UGC NET 2021 Application Form – details

Candidates can check the details mentioned, and fill the UGC NET 2021 Application Form correctly. Upload the Signatures and images email and all personal details correctly, and submit the Application form.

  • Candidates can fill the UGC NET 2021 Application Form in online mode on the official website.

  • The Registration process has begun for June session.

  • The candidate must register a valid/ working email ID & mobile number in the application form.

  • All communication details will be sent by NTA on candidates registered Email ID & mobile number.

  • Candidates have to provide required personal & educational details in the application form.

  • Multiple application forms submitted by any candidate will be rejected.

  • Candidates have to upload passport size photographs in size between 10 KB to 200 KB.

  • Candidates have to upload a scanned image of your Signature in size between 4 KB to 30 KB.

  • The image & Signature of candidates must be in JPG or JPEG format only.

  • One time correction facility in the application form will be provided through online mode.

  • Candidates will also have to choose the examination center while filling the application form.

  • Students don’t have to send any hard copies of the documents to the authority.

  • Candidates must take multiple prints out of the application form for further use.

What are the details/documents required to fill the UGC NET application form?

Listed details/documents will be required for filling the UGC NET application form. To avoid any inconvenience at the time of UGC NET registration students are advised to keep the following details ready beforehand

  • Board/University certificate

  • Ration card/Passport number/Aadhaar card number/Voter ID card number/other Government ID

  • Qualifying degree certificate

  • Category certificate (if applicable)

  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate (if applicable)

  • A person with Disability (PwD) certificate (if applicable)

  • Scanned images of photo and signature in JPG format (file size of photo: 10 kb to 200 kb, the file size of signature: 4 kb to 30 kb)

  • A valid email ID and mobile number

  • Permanent and correspondence address with pin code

  • Four exam cities in order of preference

  • Code of NET subject for which the candidate plans to take the exam (available in information brochure)

  • Code of post-graduation course (available in information brochure)

Application fee for UGC NET 2021 Application Form

  • UGC NET Application fee can be paid through online modes.

  • The online mode of payment is through credit card, debit card /net-banking/ Paytm.

The fee for the different category is as follows

  1. General – Rs.1000

  2. General EWS/OBC-NCL – Rs.500

  3. SC/ ST/ PwD/Transgender – Rs.250

How to apply for UGC NET 2021?

Go through these steps thoroughly before applying for UGC NET

  • Go to the official link www.ugcnet.nta.nic.in

  • Click on ‘Apply for UGC NET 2021’.

  • Read the generated instruction & click on the ‘Proceed to Apply Online’ link.

  • Enter basic details like name, Email ID, Date of Birth (D.O.B), etc to register.

  • Now candidates are successfully registered and can get their login credentials on their registered mail id and mobile number.

  • Candidates have to fill the application form by providing their address, PIN code and selecting any 4 cities for examination venue (choice of the candidate)

  • Upload passport size photograph & signature in the prescribed format(photo (size- 10kb – 200kb) (size of signature -10kb – 30kb)

  • After uploading select the choice of your payment mode (debit card/ credit card/ net banking) & submit the fee as per your category.

  • A confirmation page will be generated.

  • Take a print out of E-receipt & application form for further use.

Application Form 2021 – FAQ

1. Is Aadhaar card mandatory to apply for the exam?  

No, you can mention any identification number (PAN card, ration card, passport etc) at the time of filling the application form.

2. Can I choose the post for which I want to take the exam?  

Yes, you have the option of selecting the role (Assistant Professor/JRF/both) at the time of filling the application form.

3. What is the validity of UGC NET eligibility certificate?  

There is no prescribed validity for UGC NET eligibility certificate received for the post of Assistant Professor. This means that UGC NET certificate for Assistant Professor is valid for lifetime. However, the JRF award letter is valid for a period of three years starting from the day of issue of the letter.

4. What is the age limit to apply for UGC NET exam?  

To apply for JRF, candidates should not be more than 30 years in age. There is no age limit to apply for the post of Assistant Professor.

5. Is UGC NET conducted online?  

Yes, ever since NTA has started conducting the exam, UGC NET is conducted in online mode as a computer-based test (CBT) only.
