The much-delayed film of Megastar Salman Khan seems to be finally finding its way to theatres soon. According to an exclusive report by Variety India, the trailer of this war action drama will drop this Friday.
According to the report, the makers are planning a grand event in Mumbai, aiming to capitalise on the ongoing festive excitement. Originally titled Battle of Galwan, the film underwent significant changes after the government reportedly raised objections to its content, following improved relations between India and China.
The promotional asset has been certified by the censor board and is four and a half minutes long, making it one of the lengthiest trailers in Indian cinema. The buzz around the project is quite low at the moment, and it remains to be seen if the trailer can change things.
The film stars Chitrangda Singh as the female lead. Salman plays an Indian Army officer inspired by Colonel Santosh. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Maatrubhumi is produced by Salman Khan Films.
