A raw and epic action saga

‘Ghaati’

– Review

The story of Ghaati is set in the Eastern Ghats, focusing on a tribe involved in the cannabis trade.
Anushka Shetty’s character, Sheelavathi, and her partner, Desi Raju, played by Vikram Prabhu, find their lives upended by betrayal, forcing Sheelavathi to transform from a victim into a hardened criminal and, ultimately, a legend.
Director Krish masterfully crafts a narrative that takes its time to build the world and the emotional foundation of its characters.
This deliberate pacing allows the audience to fully connect with Sheelavathi’s journey from a naive woman to a formidable legend.
The film’s second half is an action-packed spectacle, a satisfying payoff to the character’s powerful evolution.
Anushka Shetty makes a triumphant return to the big screen with a fearless and powerful performance as Sheelavathi.
Her commanding screen presence and fierce intensity in the action sequences are a true highlight, making her character’s transformation completely believable.
Vikram Prabhu provides a sincere and authentic portrayal of his character, serving as a solid anchor for the protagonist’s emotional journey.
The supporting cast, including Jagapathi Babu, all contribute to the film’s gritty authenticity, adding layers to the film’s rich world.
The cinematography by Manojh Reddy Katasani is a standout feature, beautifully capturing the majestic and rugged landscapes of the Eastern Ghats.
The background score by Nagavelli Vidya Sagar is a powerful tool, with a pulsating soundtrack that effectively builds tension and complements the on-screen action.
