Bhubaneswar: The Annual Sports Day was celebrated at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, on 09.12.2024, with great enthusiasm and excitement. The program began with the lighting of the lamp, followed by inaugural speeches from the chief guests: Professor V. Pandu Ranga, Dean of Continuing Education at IIT Bhubaneswar; Associate Professor Dr. Suvradip Mullick, School of Mechanical Sciences and Faculty Advisor for Socio-Cultural Activities; and Mr. Niraj Kishor Pingua, Principal of KV Khordha Road.
Our Vidyalaya VMC members, Prof. Mihir Das and Dr. Manaswini Behera, also joined us for the event. Various sports competitions, including races, long jump, relay races, and tag-for games, were organized. The students participated enthusiastically and demonstrated their skills.
The winners were recognized and honored during the prize distribution ceremony with medals and certificates. Under the guidance of Mr. Chakradhara Prusty, Principal of KV IIT Bhubaneswar, and Mr. Rajeev, the Sports Teacher, the entire event concluded smoothly. The presence of students, teachers, and parents made the event even more memorable.
