New Delhi: The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 have begun and this time, the polls are being conducted in a total of seven phases. The first phase was done on April 19 and now, the second phase voting is coming up on April 26, 2024 when 89 constituencies of 13 states will go for polling. Ahead of the voting date, a school holiday has been announced in multiple states going for polls as most schools in the districts will be converted into temporary polling stations, thus stalling classes for that particular day. As mentioned earlier, amid the ongoing General Elections, schools remain closed in the districts that go for voting because the educational institutions are converted into temporary polling booths. On April 26 for Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Phase 2, voting will take place in selected constituencies of Uttar Pradesh and they include Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida), Greater Noida and Ghaziabad. Schools in these three districts, that are being converted to polling stations, will remain closed.
