Netflix gained a lot of new users in the first three months of this year, adding 9.3 million people around the world. Now, they have about 269.6 million subscribers altogether. Prime Video comes in second with over 200 million subscribers. Netflix says their growth is thanks to new plans with ads.

But they think they might not get as many new users in the next three months because of the time of year. They’re going to stop telling everyone how many subscribers they have every three months. Netflix is happy that 40% of new sign-ups are choosing their ad-supported plans.

They made almost $9.4 billion in money, which is 14.8% more than before. They also made $2.6 billion in profit, up 54%. Netflix wants to make their shows and movies even better and more different from each other.

They also want to show ads to more people. But in India, it’s hard for Netflix because their shows aren’t for everyone, and they cost a lot. Right now, Hotstar has the most paying users, followed by Jio Cinema, Amazon Prime, Sony Liv, and Zee5. Netflix is last with only 6.5 million subscribers.
