Ram Navami School Holidays: Schools in many states will be closed on April 16-17 on account of Ram Navami and Durga Ashtami. With this, the students, teachers and staff will be able to participate in the religious and cultural festivities with their families.

Ram Navami School Holidays: Check State Wise List​


Uttar Pradesh: Schools are closed in Uttar Pradesh on Ram Navami, which falls on April 17, 2024 (Wednesday). The state government has announced the school holidays to honor the religious significance of the festival and to allow students and teachers to participate in the celebrations and observe the day with devotion and reverence.

Bihar: Schools are also closed in Bihar on account of Ram Navami. The Nitish Kumar government Has announced the holidays to ensure that teachers and students have the opportunity to take part in the festivities and spiritual reflections associated with this auspicious occasion.

New Delhi: The Delhi Directorate of Education (DOE) has also announced a school holiday on April 17 because of the Ram Navami and said all government and government-aided schools will remain closed on April 17, 2024. This decision from the DOE has been taken to honour religious observances and ensuring that both teachers and students have the opportunity to celebrate this significant festival with reverence and joy.

Haryana: Schools in Haryana won’t be fully closed but will operate with a two-hour delay on April 16th to allow families to participate in Durga Ashtami observances. As per the official order, schools in Haryana will open at 10 AM and operate until 2:30 PM.
