About School of Law, Manav Rachna University
The School of Law, Manav Rachna University was established in 2017 and offers Bar Council of India (BCI) approved 5 years integrated honours law program and 3 years LL.B program at undergraduate level. LL.M and PhD Programs, duly approved by the UGC and the Government of Haryana, are offered at post graduate and doctorate level respectively. Practical hands-on experience and experiential learning of students is emphasized through consistent focus on moot court activities and competitions, quality internships, legal aid clinics and camps and visits to institutions of legal significance as part of clinical legal education pedagogy.
Justice R.C. Lahoti Memorial Lecture Series
Justice R.C. Lahoti (01-11-1940- 23-03-2022), the 35th Chief Justice of India and Founding Chairperson, Advisory Board at School of Law, Manav Rachna University was a jurist par excellence, enriching the law and lives of many. As a crusader of justice, he continues to inspire generations through his staunch discipline, commitment and wisdom. He encouraged Legal Services, Alternative Dispute Resolution systems, and access to justice and delivered several landmark judgments. Ratan Lal Lahoti Gold Medal and Ratan Lal Lahoti Memorial Law Library is a testimony of his passion for education and nurturing young minds with values and ethics. Justice R.C. Lahoti Memorial Lecture Series is being organised by the School of Law, Manav Rachna University in order to celebrates his vision and values he exhibited throughout his life and career and is a tribute towards celebrating his rich heritage. The School of Law, Manav Rachna University firmly believes that revisiting his deeds and memories through this annual law lecture series will illuminate the path for future generations in myriad ways.
The Inaugural Lecture of “Justice R.C. Lahoti Memorial Lecture Series” will commence on 11-05-2024, from 11 Am onwards at the Manav Rachna University Campus. The inaugural lecture will be graced by the former President of India Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, as the Chief Guest and former Chief Justice of India Justice UU Lalit, as the Guest of Honour.
